Changes?

I am thinking of moving my Caribbean operations to a separate blog and just conduct my lit major operations here. Some cross-posting would occur of course, as some of what I do on the Caribbean is literary or culturary. But I think that change might free me up a bit.

Any thoughts or suggestions? What you want to see more of? Use the comments.

I think it's a good idea. What would I like to see more of? I want to see as much as possible about the Carribean, and especially about your own life there, though the parts that aren't directly about your own life are also great. I hope that this is the direction your mind is taking and that the idea of setting up a separate blog is a sign of this natural movement and a way encouraging it and making space for it. Sorry to be so gabby. I should have just said, go for it. --Max

Thanks for the encouraging words, Max. Let me in turn encourage this tendency to gabbiness: Please do gab here. You know I live for your letters...

In the immortal words of that great rapper Mase: Do the thing. I like the idea because I hope it means you might be writing even more.

I dunno about splitting the blog. I think the mixture is good as long as the lit stuff doesn't get too stuffy. I guess my worry would be that specialization would creep in. I like what Max said, but as long as what you write about matters to you, then I think the writing will have energy and remain interesting. Still, I'm not a season ticket holder. I only visit on occasion.

Try it - nothing to lose. Especially if, as you at one time were thinking, you might invite on-site reporters to contribute to the Caribblog.

hi Kia,
I like the two mixed together because it's an odd juxaposition that tickles my fancy.

I like the breadth of your person in one place.
